These placeholder terms demonstrate how Clued's final terms will be presented. They are design-review copy only and must be replaced by approved terms before launch.
1. Acceptance of the terms
The final terms will explain that using Clued or visiting clued.app means agreeing to the applicable terms, policies, and marketplace rules. If you do not agree, you should not use the service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
This section will state who may use Clued, any minimum-age requirements, and the responsibilities associated with device access, account credentials, and information supplied to us.
3. Licence to use Clued
The final terms will grant a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Clued for entertainment in accordance with these terms and the rules of the relevant app marketplace.
4. Fictional stories and content notice
Clued is an interactive mystery game. The final terms will explain which stories, characters, messages, accounts, images, locations, and events are fictional or fictionalised and are provided for entertainment purposes.
5. Purchases and subscriptions
This section will describe paid features, billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, trials, and the role of Apple or another marketplace in processing transactions.
6. Acceptable use
Users may not interfere with the service, attempt to gain unauthorised access, misuse content, reverse engineer protected portions of the app, or use Clued in a way that violates applicable law.
7. Intellectual property
The final terms will identify ownership of the Clued name, software, interface, stories, artwork, audio, and other materials, together with any permitted uses and third-party rights.
8. Disclaimers and limitations
Approved legal language will describe the service's availability, relevant disclaimers, limits of liability, and any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
9. Changes and termination
The final terms will explain when Clued may change or discontinue features, update these terms, suspend access, or terminate use of the service.
